Our client is one of Calgary’s top new home builders. Located just outside the downtown core. They are looking for someone for a 6 month contract, with either chance of renewal or full-time employment after 6 months.

As part of the marketing team, the successful candidate will be assisting in creating and editing of web content. This includes proofing of documentation, file management and assisting with various other design tasks in conjunction to the web site. This individual will have to seek out and update information through all departments and divisions. They will utilize a content managed system designed to upload components to the website. This new team member should be able to suggest and apply knowledge of industry trends and developments to improve our ever developing website.

The Web content designer should be creative and an innovative thinker who can balance multiple priorities and tight deadlines

Responsibilities
Web content management (show home launches, online advertising, content updates,etc).
E-mail Web Advertising
Design of various print collateral.
Create and modify digital images and flash animations.
File management is an asset.

This individual will report to the Web Manger. The Web Manager’s purpose is to filter any inbound web change requests and ensure that they created on time while meeting the new brand image guide lines that will be established with the launch of the web site.

Requirements
Is capable of working under deadlines and understands timeline management.
Must have working knowledge of website development.
Proficiency in Mac OSX, knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office is required.
2+ years of HTML, CSS, XML, Javascript and PHP Experience
2+ years of Flash Experience.
Incorporated or willing to incorporate.

Nice to Haves
Knowledge of the building industry an asset but not required
SEO
Experience in utilizing Social Networks such as Twitter and Facebook.
